Attic Insulation installation
Our goal with attic insulation is to control the movement of heat through your ceiling and into the attic. Some may not know, but insulation does not “stop cold air”, it provides resistance against heat loss.
During winter the winter season insulation stops the heat in your house from escaping into your attic. Even with efficient heating systems, heating costs will not be significantly reduced if the attic is not properly insulated.
Through our collective experience, we find the most poorly insulated and ventilated area of your home is the attic space. As noted, poor insulation will result in heat loss. Another factor is ventilation. Insufficient ventilation can cause Ice Dams and even Mold Growth which can cause health issues and property damage. Remember, it is critical to add proper ventilation if you are insulating your attic.
- Attic ventilation
- Insulation removal
- Radiant heat barriers
- Insulate access doors
- Reducing moisture in the attic caused by air leaks in the house and duct systems.
- Adding baffles and roof vents to ensure that the new insulation stays dry and free from mold and mildew.
